On behalf of the Stockton Police Department K-9 Unit, I would like to thank you for the excellent work you and your agitators did at our K-9 trial on April 5, 2008 in Stockton, CA. We received many compliments on the scenarios that you put together. The scenarios were well thought out and very consistent with the job that we do on a daily basis. We appreciate the fact that the scenarios were meant for the dogs to succeed, but at the same time, challenge them and their handlers. Not everyone knows that in order to have a good dog suited for police work, you not only have to have a good handler, but you have to have excellent decoys/agitators. You represented this excellence to the fullest in our trial. Congrats on a job well done, and we will see you in 2009!!

I just wanted to compliment your job at the Vallejo K-9 trial. I am not sure how you are asked to put together scenarios, but I was so glad to see that these took some challenge for the handlers to do. Our group of 5 K-9's, Sacramento, West Sacramento and Davis K-9 all were very much impressed with the way you put things together and ran one scenario right into the next. We appreciate the fact that you made it all consistent.
I have also forwarded a very positive e-mail to the WSPCA board regarding the protection phase of the trial.

Hello Jon/ Weiss Hauzahn K9 Training, This is Bryan Fritsch from Lincoln PD. I just wanted to let you know that you guys did a great job today at the San Joaquin trial. The scenarios were awesome and I loved the free flow style through the exercises. I hope we see more exercise like those. Your scenarios were challenging and really showcased the strong dogs. Your helpers were also very good and consistent. I’ll see you next time.

Jon, Weiss Hauzahn K9 Training Thank you! We have not seen a free flowing protection phase in quite a while and it was nice to see it again. Your scenarios defiantly challenged the dog and handler. I know when we read the scenario's most of us were like, "What?" and seeing all of the gunfire made some worry a lot! But it worked out really well. I enjoyed competing in the trial and your scenarios showed me what my doggie can do. Every time I see you guys work I think how do they take all of those hard chest hits and still stand. I guess Sergo got you, never seen you get knocked over before. But again, thank you for putting together a great protection phase. Our Admin was thoroughly impressed as well.
